L.L. Johnson Distributing Company was founded in Denver, Colorado in 1976 by Leonard L. Johnson. What began as a regional distributor for feed and seed evolved into one of the Rocky Mountain region’s most respected names in turf equipment, irrigation, and landscape supply. In 1981, the company expanded by acquiring Midwest Turf & Irrigation in Omaha, Nebraska—extending our reach across Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming.

Today, we remain your trusted distributor of Toro, Ventrac, and many other industry-leading brands—maintaining the high level of service and support our customers expect. Our product lines support golf courses, municipalities, landscape contractors, sports fields, and more.

In 2025, L.L. Johnson and Midwest Turf & Irrigation became part of the Oakcreek Golf & Turf family of companies, joining a group of regional powerhouses across North America. While ownership has changed, our mission remains the same: supporting our customers with expert service, premium products, and trusted partnerships. We continue to operate under the L.L.
